I am looking to upgrade my old Yamaha HTR-5150 reciever and am trying to figure out if the extra 200 bucks for the 2400 is worth spending. My home theater set up is not extremely sophisticated just the standard DVD, VCR, RP television, I am using the Bose Acoustimass 10 speaker system with the larger VCS-10 center channel speaker.
All Controlled by the ProntoProNG 7000. Now that all that is out, does anyone have advise as to which reciever is best and why? I am not a professional by any stretch of the imagination so I do not require anything beyond basic, easy to set up,with great sound output. I cannot say that I am thrilled with the performance of my old 5150 as every time we have a power outage my sound settings get reset and the speakers have to be rebalanced but I think this new YPAO magic may cure that ill. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys and Gals for a great forum!

Hi John,
Just a quick email to let you know we have now seen the fault
occurring on your unit, and can regularly get this to happen. We are now
trying to establish the cause. Appreciate your patience.

Regards,
Paul Davey

If your thrilled with the 5100 then get the yamaha its lovely and warm in music for a cinema amp.
