I think you are right Snappy , the most of movies are still in 5.1 , but what about THX and uncle Lucas?I allready both Boston VRX for nice price so at least I am going to get better 5.1 , because I want to move my Boston Bravo to rear centers and Boston VRX would be surr. sound speakers.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I have the Onkyo 989 with a couple of hardware upgrades. I don't think you can get a better test receiver for discerning channel separation (Note: this comment not meant to start a receiver-discussion-war... :)
Here in Mexico I am kind of out of the loop on HT gear, so I have no idea at this point what your Yammy has on the back. But yeah, when you get a moment, hook 'em up and give a listen. I felt a kind of "completeness" when I added the final two speakers to my system. On the other hand, when everything goes 10.1 or whatever, I am sure I will feel even more of a completeness when I add those too!
