Im thinking of making my own AV stand to house the electronics underneath and TV on top.

Would it be ok to use MDF as ive heard its non reasonant and i assume this can only be a good thing.

Has anyone else made their own and posted pictures so i can get some ideas?

thanks

I made my rack using MDF, threaded rod, washers and nuts. Don't have any pictures yet. It came out real nice. You can do a web search for flexi racks to get some ideas. I did not use rubber washers as my floor in concrete and vibration is at a minimum.

thanks Iresq for the reply.

I posted this thread on the custom installers forum as i'd forgotten it existed and have had more replies from there.

You say you used mdf, does it hold a tv as well?

Ive had a few replies saying its harder to joint mdf so im going to go with some nice wood.

If your interested in what others said check out my link.
