help me please!
Ive just moved up from an S-vhs lead to the QED scart 4110 rgb only lead and can now only alter the brightness and contrast on my sony TV, what gives?
Can someone explain this strange phenonomen to me as i was going to buy Avia or Video essentials for the video tests but as i cant change much, is there any point?
Also whats the going rate for these disc's? as in hmv (uk) video essentials is £32.
thanks john

Strange indeed. Are you saying that the only remote functions you have control over are the brightness and contrast?
Have you tried it again with the SCART connector removed?
Have you connected it into the correct SCART socket (though I can't see why an input would upset the control functions of the TV in this way)?
Would it be possible to explain in more detail?

sorry for the confusion. no i have full control over everthing except the picture, hope this is more clear.
what i mean is that when i use say a composite input or s-vhs i can alter the colour, the sharpness, the brightness and the contrast when on the personnel setting on my sony Tv set.
but when i switch to rgb scart i can only alter the brightness and contrast. This has me confused as ive seen magazines say alter brightness to 35% contrast to 65% then play something with reds in and alter the colour till flesh tones look natural.
All well and good till i get to the colour, its greyed out and has no effect.
is my tv broke?

Nope. Just like an HDTV connection, when used, the color, tint, and some other controls are inoperative.
Those parameters are preset from the high resolution signal, and cannot be adjusted.
