will not learn on the mx 500

I love the new mx-500 I just purchased and will not admit how much I spent in finding this great remote but I have one problem driving me nuts.I cant learn the play,stop,pause fuctions to it dfor a Toshiba DVD player.By entering code 035 it will do some functions but not others and it refuses to learn .Does anyone have any help? thanks in advance Mike Buck

the problem is the Toshiba.. they suck!

Seriously... try blocking the first part of the signal with your hand... cover the sender on the Toshiba remote with your hand, press the button, then uncover the sender. The 500 might learn it that way.

IF that's the Toshiba combo DVD/VCR, you'll also need to learn the 'switch' button (i think it's called that) to both the DVD and VCR device screens. That way, if it won't control either, it switches the signal to the proper device for you...
