I think so. But speakers are subjective. You really need to find a dealer and listen. You may or may not like the way they sound.

You be the judge.

I have a full set of veritas 2.3 fronts, 2.0c center and 4) 2.0r rear channels and cannot say enough good things about them, but you should listen to different brands and compare for yourself

For the price, Energies are amazing speakers. In fact, they are better than many speakers that cost much more. The 5.1s did me just fine, including the 8" sub, for a couple of years with my Sony 930. However, when I moved up to a much more powerful receiver, I could tell that I needed better speakers. ... Mike
