I really want to do is mount a flat pannel lcd computer monitor in my kitchen and be able to watch tv in the kitchen. A wall mounted television is going to be too big for my kitchen. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hansol makes some pretty good monitors that can display High Res, Composite vid, and RF. Reasonably priced also.
Some of the higher end models can picture in picture the video on the computer input.

Why not get a TV Tuner card for the computer thats powering the LCD monitor? You can get ones that also have an FM tuner built-in, so you can listen to the weather while making your breakfast! The TV tuner cards are quite good - you can have the TV window any size you want, so you could be looking up recipes on the web while monitoring the news in the background. You could also use the computer for shopping lists (syncing with your Palm),Kitchen Inventory, home automation control, answering machine, etc etc. Since the kitchen is one of the central focal points of a house, I reckon it makes a lot of sense to have a computer in there. Ive got plans to do exactly this in my kitchen.
Cheers, Cam

I don't see any mention of him having a computer for the LCD. And I gaurantee the picture of a dedicated input is much better than what an all-in-wonder card can do.
