Hi

I have a harman/kardon (HK) AV receiver model AVR 4000 (European model, corresponds to the AVR 510 in US, I think). To cut a long story short, this receiver has a general fault of the subwoofer level in DTS being 16dB too low. This has been confirmed in a test in a UK AV magazine (I forgot which one).

HK in UK has had my receiver in for a CPU upgrade 1 month ago, but it didn't solve the problem. My contact at HK UK claims that he is currently looking into spec differences between DD and DTS to explain my findings, but this is of course just something he has to say...

This error can of course be worked around by e.g. lowering all other channels by 8dB and increasing the subwoofer level by 8dB, but this still doesn't make it a non-problem, right?

Does anyone else have this experience with this or any model of HK AV receivers?

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to proceed with HK in UK to get my problem solved?

/Allan
