I have a Denon AVR-3300 powering my hometheater set up (Sony KV36XBR 450, Energy Take 5 and sub, Denon DVM-3700 DVD, Echostar 6000 HD sat receiver) and would like to have the satellite music played in other rooms in the house. Does anyone have a solution for an inexpensive amp or preamp compatible with the Denon to power the speakers in the other room? Any speaker suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Robert, all you need is any decent control amp (receiver minus tuner) or receiver and an extra audio output from the Echostar, unless the Denon is 2-zone capable. In that case, you don't need the outputs, just use zone 2. In either case, they're all 'compatible'.

Robert,
If you are looking for an inexpensive amp try the Jamo MPA101. It has 50 watts of power and with a switch box or impedance matching volume controls can power up to 4 or 5 rooms adequately for background music. If your looking for flush mount speakers try the Sonance or SpeakerCraft line.
