OK, im new to this forum, and I need some help. i just purchased a sony KV-32XBR100 televison. i got a great deal on it ($100) but it only had one a/v hookup because it didnt have the external tuner box. i would really like to have it, because it has 4 or 5 more inputs plus RF input, (local channels), and i can use the PIP. If anyone could help me out by finding a site which provides it, or some place where i could order it. thanks for the help. If it helps anyone, sony calls the box the "access center" or "access center control"

Kevin, if you can't get the offical box, could you get a 1st class switcher like the JVC JX-S700 or JX-S777. Do you have an S-video input available? If so, these JVC's would do nicely. They have remote control too. The 700 has seven composite and S-video inputs, and numerous record outs too. The Y/C mixing is awfully good too, proably close to the 100's 3D comb filter's?
Will Sony no longer supply this tuner? It's not all that old a model is it, 1995 & 6 about? I used to want one, a 100, I nearly bought one when they were closing them out about '98 or '99, seems like... The JVC 700 might be a good bet? Best wishes, Rachael!

You might also consider the Sima SVS-4, which, besides having two outputs:
(and I quote...)
This automatic A/V component selector with 4 inputs/dual outputs easily expands your home theater system. Its unique features include:
* Automatic Input Selection --detects current unit in use and switches to its input...automatically, without pushing any buttons.
* Volume Stabilization. Automatically adjusts the sound level. (Minimizes volume levels between channels and loud commercials or adds impact by increasing the dynamic range).
* Composite to S-Video Conversion -- you can use a mixture of composite and S-Video devices with one S-Video cable to your TV.
* Complete with I/R Remote, AC adapter, and A/V cable.
You can also switch inputs manually at the unit or with the remote. And for the dual-tuner use, if the tuner hookup uses standard connections, any VCR (or two) will do channel tuning.
