Hey Mike,

Thanks for the illustration compliment. I was bored
and decided to model and render a Tower Speaker and
this is what I came up with :) I still have to add
a crossover and a set of binding posts and wires and
a tweeter but this is what it looks like so far :)

3D is such a blast! :)

Brett, move the sub up to the center of the side panel, move the mids up and add the same mids to the rear panel, and put the tweeters between the mids, and you'll have my BP-2000's. (Don't forget the sub amp at the bottom of the rear panel)

Larry

Why am I not seeing images in Brett's postings of late?

Greg,

Thats a good question, I have no answer as to why my
images wouldn't show up for you.

What can I say? I'm "blown away". Heck with the design; I still like the artwork better. :-)

Mike,

Aww shux.. Thanks :)

What can I say? I have been a free lance graphic
artist for the past decade and I stress the FREE
part.. All the while I think I have made a total
of $30.00 :) I do it mainly for my love of the
art. But I get a kick out of designing things.

I find that I design "tangible" items because we
know what a speaker looks like, it's something we
can compare to. And making a tangible item that
you can research is harder than doing whimsical
scenes IMHO since we can look at the real deal.

Now if only I could figgure out how to spline
paths in Bryce3... I am thinking I need to buy
myself a new PC and reinstall Caligari True Space :)

Can you add a drop shadow for the speaker and e-mail me the full image (I don't have TrueSpace or Bryce, but I can take bmp, tif, psd, etc.)? I'd like to print that one out and hang it up.

BTW, have you checked out Caligari's iSpace? Neat tool.

I'm still ticked off that the images don't show!

Greg, you don't have your browser set to "don't load images for faster download", do you?

Mike and Larry,

Here ya go... I made them into DiPoles, The tweeters
are installed as are the binding post's and the cross
over. I will make an internal amp and I am still trying
to figure out how to make wires. And I will render a
pair side by side so you can see both sides of the
cabinents.

Veeery sexy. (Nice speakers, too... .) ... Mike (PS everyone: notice that the reflections on the shiny woof material are accurate for the focal point and horizon... .)
