My room is set out like this.
S Rack TV Sub S

The bit like ( is an alcove so you can see my right front speaker is in it. and my rear right above it.
My problem is that if i sit on the right hand seat its ok, but if i sit on the left hand seat the bass is a bit boomy and considerably louder.
Does anyone know why this could be and how i could cure it as i cant change my room around.

There are peaks and nulls throughout every room. Most people will calibrate their system based on a single listening position. You will need a disc with bass tones and an SPL meter to find out where your peaks in frequency are. A good parametric EQ will tame them. You can find details on all of this by searching for "BFD" over at www.hometheaterforum.com . -Robert
