Hey Folks!

I am Bi-Wiring my AR9 mains and I need a source for the
black nylon braided covering like you find on a set of
Better Cables Bi-Wires.. The Shack has all the banana
terminations I need but they don't cary any sort of
wire sleeving. What I plan do to is install the dual
runs of 12 Gauge Rope Braid OFC inside this braided
nylon jacket and then PVC Heat Shrink each end leaving
roughly 2" of split cable with terminations.

I checked The Shack and Parts Express and neither has
anything to cover wire with, other than spiral or Split
conduit (neither of which I want)

Thanks in advance....

Sincerely
Brett D.

Brett, some auto manufacturers use a similar nylon braded tube for wiring harnesses. You might find braided tubing the same or similar to what you're looking for at a dealer parts dept.

Lary err umm Cliff,

I knew you would chime in!

I also had te same thought as you. Starting roughly
10 to 15 years ago car manufacturers (especialy import)
began using this nylon sleeving to encase harness's in
rather than cloth or PVC electrical tape due to the
nylon's resistance to abraision. I am going to check
out some High Performance Auto Parts companies because
racers use this stuff as well.

Thanks for the tip!

Is this or this what you're looking for? Personally I use QED cable similar to this. Makes thing a little easier, or, at least, I think so.

djy,

That is precisely what I need. And I searched all over
the net lastnight and I found tons of places that sell
but not one of them had a clear price for the product.
And this web site you show me looks like it's priced
in "pounds" correct? Could you locate me a site that
has the price in U.S.D ? And do I have to by a huge
spool when I only need 20' ?

Thanks for the info!

1). Does 20' take into account length shrinkage when the braiding is expanded? (Note, 5m is a tad over 16').

2). How desperate are you? Please "tick" an option...

a). Pay and get it in a few days.

b). Wait a few more and get it extremley cheaply.

should be more than adequate.. Ok now where do I get
it and in the imortal words of the american infomercial
"How much is it" :)
