Has any one else had a problem with the sony 444 es's video switcher. I have had a string of bad(6 in a week) ones all with the same problem. When you first power up the reciver you have no video. Now i've found that if you turn the reciver off then back on the video pops in,or if you hit the on screen button the video pop's in,last but not least if you unplug the reciver and plug it back in the video pop's in only to do it again when you power up the next time. Or do you think I just got a bad lot. Thank you for your help in advance

Hey Jeff, it's jeff

I just recently had a str-de945 that everything worked fine, but weeks later the video switcher portion quit working. The sony authorized dealer in our area tried to fix it and said it was unfixable. He also said he ordered the same board 3 times and every time he put it in, it would blow the video switcher portion. I guess it takes three times to make it official, what an idiot. Anyway, I thought this was one of those weird random failures, but maybe there is a problem with some of the sony units switcher.
