does anyone have a code for the marantz receiver multi-room option? pronto ccf 1.05 version or just the code itself is good we need to learn it into a touch pad from a remote.

thanks in advance ** please email tbarth@gramophone.com with any info**

Matt,

I've just finished a project with some Marantz receivers utilizing the multi room stuff. The regular codes work if you are using the multi jack on the back. I was surprized how well they worked actually. An AMX project so I don't have the codes for you but the stock RC5 are the ones you want and they should be the ones with the remote. Standard IR seems to work into the jack-----REVERSE POLARITY.

GOOD LUCK.

Unrelated to Matt's problem..
Jeff I have a Marantz SR-7000, and couldn't get a good explanation for those RC-5 rca jacks. What can you use these for, are they IR input or outputs?
Thanks

Yes. It's hard to get a good explaination about those...I just started plugging stuff in to see what would work.
I don't know about the output but I assume that they will pass signal from the front panel IR receiver or from the input onto whatever device you plug into it....that's what the Sony stuff does anyway.

As for the input it will accept an IR signal polarity reversed it seems. Use it with a control system or an IR repeater system so you don't have to stick a damn emitter on the front of the unit.

you will need to use a Xantech brand (794 I believe)I.R. interface to use any type of Xantech or Crestron I.R. type equipment

The Marantz receiver that I have been testing seems to accept an ir signal WITH the carrier and reversed polarity. The Xantech Universal Interface Module 794 (carrier stripper) is not needed in this case. You will need to make a cable that flips the polarity, however.

That's interesting, thanks for the info. (one the reverse polarity for Marantz products, cuts down on system cost!)

oops...

Looks I was wrong about the polarity thing. One (out of three) of the Marantz receivers that I have been integrating had the polarity swapped on the multi in...all the others were straight through -tip to tip.

This caused a great deal of confusion courtesy of disgruntled Maylaisian factory workers.

Good luck

Using the Marantz w/o a Xantech 794-50 has unpredicatable results, especially in relation to signal strength.
