I went to the link you posted. It seems like an "odd" product to me.

I use a PC as the HEART of my home theatre. Since DVD playback is the primary source, I get Dolby Digital or DTS through a hardware Mpeg card(Creative Dxr3). It connects directly to my A/V receiver for a totally genuine BIG sound through my TV, five speakers etc.

I'm a fan of Mp3, CD's etc. on my non-theatre PC, but I wouldn't want higher volume or to watch movies seriously while sitting 1 foot from the monitor and speakers. I think high quality amplified speakers with a sub are great for occasional music listening. To me, the 5 spkr.Dolby kits are silly. Just my 2 cents.
