I use the RCA DTC-100 as a Satellite Tuner and HDTV Tuner, and there is a long sync delay when switching from the SAT to the ANTENNA input. I'm always faced with the problem of when switching between SAT and Antenna Inputs I have to program long delays of 2-4 seconds into my macros.

Has anyone figured out a work-around for this delay problem?

I'm wondering if there is a way to specify the channel (Say 10.1 HDTV) then switch to the ANTENNA input so it syncs on this channel. Or, specify a SATELLITE channel like 509 and then switch to the SAT input.

Right now, my macros switch to the appropriate input (SAT or ANT), then wait 3 seconds and input the channel numbers and hit OK. It works, but the entire process takes about 5-6 seconds, and if the customer chooses to switch from a SAT channel to an HD Channel - they see the previously viewed channel, before the macro puts the new numbers in.

Anyone have any ideas? Please feel free to post a reply here or e-mail me directly at 'patp@apk.net'

THANKS!!
Pat.

Sure, the way I've done it is to have DSS listed as one source and OTA as another. They way you only switch inputs once on source selection.
