i just picked up a new pre-amp from adcom, and i'm wondering if some kind soul out there knows of a code that i can use in my alltouch 2000 (at2000-4) scientific atlanta remote control that came with my cable box to control my adcom pre-amp. i'm really just looking for volume adjustment.

i've tried my cable company and scientific atlanta, and each was less helpful than the other.

thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Have you tried the Explorer's Club for Sci-At subscribers? You can sign up easily; then link to here for the manuals, which in my case actually included more codes than the book that came with my 3001: [Link: scientific-atlanta.com] ... Mike

Thanks, guys. I looked online and the guide there didn't have any Adcom codes, and the 0545 didn't work either.

If anyone else has any suggestions, I'd be happy to give them a shot :)

Have you tried to search for the code?

To Search for Codes:

If none of the listed codes work, you can program the remote to search all of the codes. The remote control searches through all of the available codes for the device specified, beginning with the most popular codes.

note: The LED on the remote control also blinks thre times when it reaches the end of the search.

Turn on the device.
Point the remote control away from the device.
Press and hold the SELECT key. AS you hold down the SELECT key, press the mode key for that device and hold it down until the LED blinks twice.
Press 991
Point the remote control toward the device, then press power.
Did the device turn off?
If yes, go to step 7.
If no, press the mode key again, then press POWER. Continue to toggle the mode and POWER keys until the device turns off.
To set the code, press SELECT.
Press POWER again and try other keys to check the code.

Best of Luck.---Dave
