My dish was working fine one night. Last night I turned it on and there was no sound. I still have sound on the TV. I checked the connections at the TV and at the dish and nothing seemed loose. I ran the system test on the dish and everything was fine. I reset the settings on the TV (Sony WEGA) so that everything is set to factory default. My system includes only the TV, the dish and a VCR. Any ideas?

VC, I suggest trying the audio input with another device, and the tuner output into another input, just to eliminate the connections themselves. basic troubleshooting; don't assume anything.

If the above good suggestions don't help, try powering off your RCA DSS receiver, remove the access card, reseat it and power it back on. This has solved many a problem with missing audio, video or even guides or menu selections that have disappeared, mainly on Sony units, but I have seen on a few RCAs.
