Does anyone know if there is a product that will take either an S or composite video signal and convert it to component format? I recently read a review of the new Kenwood VR-5900 A/V receiver that has such a feature (I think) and would like to be able to do this with my set up but don't want to pony up $3k for a new receiver.

[Link: products.monstercable.com]Not really worth the money if you ask me. Esp since it really won't improve your signal, just ease your connections.

Here's a standalone transcoder. It probably costs as much as the Kenwood though. [Link: Extron.com]there are also a number of video processors and line doublers such as [Link: dvdo.com]This message was edited by dougw on 09/20/01 19:23.12.
