I recently purchased this dish and noticed that it has 4 receiver outputs on it. I've always understood that you can only have two? Is this a false assumption? This would be a really great thing if my Dish supported 4 receivers. Is there something else I'm missing?

it will support 4 rec's in it's stock form. You can configure these for as many recs. as you want with the right equipment.

Gary, thanks for the info. This is really good to know :) I was concerned because we have 3 TV's and I was accepting the fact that I would buy basic (analog)cable for one of the TV's.

Thanks again,

Dave

So if I have 4 TVs and want to get a Receiver with TIVO (which requires 2 inputs), how do I configure the dish to provide five outputs? If I happen to have an extra dish lying around, am I better off just putting up a second dish to run the 5th output?

the second dish would be cheaper. Normally you would use a multi switch that increases the number of outputs i.e. Spaun products.
