I have a echostar 4900 receiver and a Denon 2801 Digital receiver. I have been unable to control the Denon with the remote from the 4900. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

TOM,

I have set up a whole lot of Dish/Denon systems and for the past 5 years never been able to get a dish remote to control a Denon. I think you are out of luck. You could teach your Dish codes into the Denon remote and try that. Some Dish RF boxes will/can receive IR if the box is set to receive IR you will need to reprogram the eeprom on your info page to set IR not RF iF your box is RF. Can't remember is a 4900 is RF????! I used a model 5000 dish RF box and used a Dish 2800 IR remote to control it without any problems.

Tom, Larry,

The Dish 4900 should be operable by RF or IR at the same time. Use the Denon remote. I use an IR universal in my living room and the Dish RF remote in another room with a 2nd TV.
