I am trying to find the remote control codes for the General Instrument remote (I believe it is for the DCT-1000). Specifically, I am trying to find the hex codes that are transmitted when a button is pressed. Also, what pattern are these signals? Are they 8-bit words? I believe the carrier freq. is around 38kHz, but what is the baud rate? I'm new to experimenting w/ this type of electronics, but interested just as a hobby. Thanks in advance!

Search in the Pronto file area and you'll find them. What I don't know is if they vary based on cable system (if the box has customizable IR codes). I had a DCT 1000 and switched boxes to a Motorola and the same IR codes worked on both. I learned mine in and didn't compare them with other IR codes in the File Area. You can download the Pronto Edit software to view/cut/paste the IR codes (CCF's) on this site also.

I am looking for the tv codes and a brief instruction on how to program the Motorola DRC 400. It's the remote used to control the Motorola digital cable box.
