I am not sure which Forum to ask this question in so I will start here.

I have 2 dish recivers a 6000 & 2800. The 2800 is mainly for my Replay. I no longer have cable tv programming.

I have the 2800 hooked for my replay and I have it wired up so I can watch recorded shows or dish from my living room and bedroom. The bedroom is controlling Replay with a Powermind set (transmits signals to control replay). I understand whatever is on one tv will be on the rest and this is not a problem.

Now down to the question, can I take the cable going to my bedroom from replay, hook it up to the spot where my main cable comes into the the house. Therefore feeding the rest of the house cable outlets with signal from the reaply/dish, what kind of problems do you think I will expierence? At that junction I do have a powered signal booster the cable company intalled. When answering you can assume I understand the basics.

Your suggestions is much appreciated.

John

P.S. I plan on getting a Powermind transmitter for each tv so it can control the replay/dish.

I think a channel modulator would work better. You would be able to watch all three sources on any TV in the house. With the addition of IR recievers at each TV, you would also get the same functionality as the Powermind.

I agree with Robert. Channel modulator is the way to go. I have ReplayTV, DVD Changer and a RCA DTC-100 HD Sat all modulated and, as long as you pick a good channel to put the modulated signal on, it works very well.

They're right. A modulator is the way to go. As Nick says, you've got to make sure you've got clear channels to put the modulated signal on. Or you need to use a notch filter to create some clear space.
