I have a Sony SAT-A2.

Whenever we set the channel to 967 (abc, locally), the screen flashes, turns green, the power light on the SAT receiver blinks out, the machine resets, says it is looking for a signal, gets the signal, then resets again. It appears only to happen on this one channel, or when I attempt to do the "trick" to get the receive to accept both RF and IF frequencies.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Apparently, the problem has corrected itself.

The "trick", which does not, I am told, work on the A-5 and may not the A-4, is to go into remote set up, set the remote type as "RF", go into remote codes as if you were going to set a specific remote, and then hit "Exit." For some reason, it will then accept both RF and IR.

IR/RF at once works on the x2, x3 and x4, but not the x50 or x55.
