I have the an RCA HD receiver and I was trying to program my pronto. I have had the pronto for a couple years now and I have been using it with my Sony DSS, but now I want to program both receivers.

My problem is that the receiver is having a tough time getting the numbers fast enough or something. I have the station icons and the numbers all programed, but if I hit the icon it's very sporatic as to what numbers actually get entered.

Anyone else have this problem? I put the delay all the way up to 1 second and still problems. My other dish gets signals just fine.

You absolutley should not need more than .5 second of a delay. We do home theater with plasma screens t 2 to 3 a week and we use dtc-100 as a high def decoder for cable, off air as well as sat. I exclusively use pronto's. Never have a problem with a .5 second delay. Are you using an ir relay? If so the frequency is not right, I guarantee it. Anything else, email me.

I'm just using it straight on. I don't even use a delay with my Sony SAT receiver. I'll just play with it a little more. Thanks

I just installed at DTC-100 today and had already programmed my Pronto with channel numbers for my previous RCA DirecTV receiver. I have a .1 sec delay between each number. When I first tried to use my Pronto without changing any of my programmed numbers I found that the new DTC-100 would recognize the numbers the Pronto would output, but would not change to the new channel after the third digit was received. My previous RCA receivers will change immediately when the third number is displayed. The new DTC-100 requies a Menu-Select output (an enter like charcter) after the third digit to change to the new channel. I just got finished reporgramming my pronto by adding the Menu-Select output after the third digit and it worked great, with a .1 second as I said. It is working perfectly with my DTC-100. Hope maybe this may help.

With regard to channel number macros, the DTC-100 and all new RCA DirecTV receivers, you should use the "OK" command after channel number entry. The Menu command is now a seperate command from "OK". You could also enter a four digit number and not use "OK".
