Can anyone offer any help in locating a Sony remote or a universal remote that will work with the Sony RF type satelite. I have my reciver in one room and have a second tv in another room and wish to control the receiver from the other room without carrying the remote from room to room. The RM-Y130 remote is almost $100.00, is there anything out there any less expensive?

Get a universal remote for the one room so you can use IR and use the RF remote in the other room. On the Sony unit i believe you can set to use both IR and RF. Good Luck

Depends on which model. Only the x2, x3 and x4 can support IR and RF at the same time (through an undocumented trick). Also, there are no universal remotes that can directly control RF components.

I have a SAT-A50. It came with the RM-Y802 RF remote. Sony sells that for $49 direct ([Link: sel.sony.com]). It used to run around $90 a few months back.

The little plastic pin on the flip up part breaks quickly (with kids around!). I replaced the pin with a screw and saved $49!

I don't know what the RM-Y130 is.
