John-
That is what I heard. That was the reason for my question about the inputs vs. the number of tuners. I have the RCA digital splitter already.

Also- On the stand alone Sony 2000, you can hook up a SAT receiver and cable. Are you saying that is not possible with the SAT-60?

Dan R.

You can hook up Cable or Antenna, but they are strictly pass thru, you cannot record onto TIVO from that input.

I just purchased an SAT-T60 and, after speaking with SONY have discovered that the optical output is not compatible with Yamaha receivers. The audio on both PCM and Dolby Digital is intermittant. SONY says they are working on a solution.

Dan R,

If the T60 didn't record and play back in DD 5.1, I wouldn't have bought it! If you set the menu option to use DD5.1, the T60 is always looking for that 5.1 stream and it records and plays it if it's present. If not, it records & plays the DD2.0 or PCM 48Khz, but still sends it out the optical jack. If your receiver has an "auto decode" setting, it adjusts automatically as well. If you have a Sony receiver as I do, it's flawless.

Sony now apparently has a fix for the Yamaha receiver
compatiblity problem. You must return it to Sony, however. Some type of problem with the electronics
connected directly to the toslink connector, I guess.
