Hi there,

I recently got the Radioshack $49.99 deal for Direct TV Satellite system. My remote (Radioshack) 7-in1 - 15-1995 doesn't seem to be able to control the functions fully i.e I can input digit 2 but not digit 1. It seems that every other button on the remote won't activate the Sat receiver. I've set up the receiver as 0566 as specified in the manual. I've even downloaded the EFC code lists but forcing the codes by pressing setup plus the EFC code still doesn't activate that function. I've tried also a link to [Link: hifi-remote.com] and tried to predict the right codes using OBC etc and didn't find any. They just don't work - the ones I really need are channel + and right and up. Do I take the remote back to radio shack and say that it doesn't cope with the RCA Sat Reveiver? Should i try something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

Connor

I just purchased a Radio Shack 15-1994 6-in-1 Smart Remote for my Radio Shack RCA Direct TV system (model DRD420RE). I had the same problem - some of the buttons worked, some didn't. I found that this remote is made for Radio Shack by the One-For-All remote people. I called One-For-All, and was given the code 0392. I programmed the remote with this code, and it works great. By the way, the One-For-All Cinema 6 and the One-For-All Cinema 7 remotes do not support this code.

Anyone interested in finding out what codes are available for the COMPLETELY PROGRAMMABLE AND LEARNING RS-1994 should take a look at The Robman's website: www.hifi-remote.com. There you will find secrets that will amaze you about the 1994. Drop the 1995: take it back right now and exchange it for the 1994 (the 1995 is not a learning device). ... ... Mike
