I'm looking for a receiver and dish with dolby digital,IR and RF at the same time,And discrete on off codes for the pronto.I see the Sony A-55 and dish at circuit city for $199.,But I'm not too sure if it's what i'm looking for.I'm not looking forHD, Web tv, Tivo or anything that is not needed for standard sat reception.Just a good receiver that I can use to connect the RF for use on the bedroom Tv,And the living with only one receiver.Thanks for any help.

The sony reciever is awesome....but it can not operate ir and rf at the same time (dumb). The new sony HD reciever ( Feb 1st) will be able to do that. But it will run for about $700. Another option for you would be the rca DD reciever. That one you will be able to do rf and ir at the same time. It is an OK reciever. Really the only diference with most all the recievers as far as performance goes, is the menu systems. So if you like the menu(guide) system on the rca then i would get that one if i were you.

Mitsubishi goes for 199.99 with dish that the sony doesn't. Also comes with firewire out. SRSD100
