Hi,
does anyone have discreet IR power (on,off) codes for ntl digital set top boxes

Hi,
I don't think you will have any luck with this, as most ntl digital boxes use irDA signals, which are not compatible with standard A/V IR signalling. As such no universla remotes will work with them, and VCR's cannot control them. Also handily there is no timer function on these boxes, so it is impossible to record more than 1 channel whilst you aren't home!
