Does anyone know if I could get HD from an antenna? I'm useing a DTS-100. I currently only get channel 199 and 509 from DTV in HD. I live in Williamsburg,VA. It would be nice to know before going through the trouble of installing one of these monster antennas.

Mike,

I do not yet have a HD receiver as I am waiting on the Sony. Are you pleased with the programming on channels 199 and 509? I can't get much info from DirecTV.

check www.antennaweb.org to find out what digital channels are broadcast in your area. Note that local channels broadcast in digital aren't necessarily HDTV. Most station broadcast most of their lineup in 480p. CBS has the most true HDTV content.

Hi Mike,

Every installation is different since quality of signal received by the antenna depends on a number of things such as distance to the transmitters; topography; line of sight (obstructions); etc.

Do go to the antennaweb.org site above to do a desktop analysis for your location. For antenna recommendations, go to my site.

Thanks,
Errol
