cbs-logo__120711164808__121116195436__130108233101  CBS Orders 'Real Life' Pilot From 'HIMYM' Team
Originally based on a web series from Avital Ash, the project had been ordered to pilot last season, but redeveloped for this year. The hybrid comedy chronicles the relationship of two 20-somethings who go from being co-workers on opposite coasts to working in the same office. Sony Pictures Television will produce in association with CBS Television Studios. Winston will serve as writer and executive producer alongside exec producers Bays and Thomas.

The daily strip focusing on entertainment and celebrity news and gossip has now been sold in more than 150 markets in advance of its debut next fall, the Twentieth announcement said.
Page Six TV offers local stations a fresh and groundbreaking program for their access time periods — an area within the syndication marketplace that has been void of new program offerings for many years,” said Ken Lawson, SVP and General Sales Manager, Broadcast Sales of Twentieth Television. “We are thrilled that stations across the country are following the lead of the Fox Television Stations in showcasing the program across their high-profile evening time slots.”  It will most likely air on WKBW-7 or WUTV-29 or WNYO-49.

Weekend Update’ To Become Weekly Show?
NBC is in talks to air a 30-minute primetime weekly edition of “Saturday Night Live’s” “Weekend Update.” With Alec Baldwin’s impression of the president, SNL’s popularity has exploded in the Trump era. A stand-alone “Weekend Update” show could help NBC capitalize on a topsy turvy news cycle. "Variety" reports that SNL is up 22 percent in viewership -- its strongest start to a season in more than two decades, our colleagues at Morning Media note. The scuttlebutt is the show might air Thursday evenings later this year.

ABC Renews 'Grey's, 'Scandal' And 'Murder'
ABC has picked up new seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder,”.   Though all shows have been renewed, no word yet on whether they’ll be scheduled together as a TGIT night next TV season — however, there is plenty of Shondaland programming to go around. “The Catch” returns with its second season after “Murder” wraps up this winter and a new untitled Romeo and Juliet-inspired series has yet to debut, though likely will not until either summer or next season. Also in the works is a legal drama from Shondaland writer Paul Davies, which is hot on ABC’s pilot list. Should that series go forward and should “Catch” nab a third season renewal, Shondaland could have six shows on air at ABC, though they’d be staggered throughout the year.
