Does anyone else have this receiver/dish? I have had my eye on it for quite a while and I would like some input from owners of this receiver( likes and dislikes). Thanks for reading!

I have had it for a few weeks, it's ok, I got it cause circuit city had it open box for less than I could get anything else with DD outputs. I wish I had spent the extra and gotten hughes model. I have 2 hughes d11's and love their menus/guides, you can watch one channel while flipping through the guide looking for something else to watch. The rca has a pip that lets you do this, but anytime you switch to the guide/back it pauses the picture and audio which is really annoying to me. The remote that comes with the rca also doesn't support a lot of non rca/ge/proscan products. It won't support my dvd player/receiver and all it does on my tv is volume/tv channels/video input. The hughes remotes work will almost all functions on all my equipment.

I just returned my 4280RE and replaced it with a Sony A55 (I already have a A50 and 2 B50's).

I just couldn't deal with the interface. I thought the text was week, the menu manipulation awkward and also didn't like the picture/audio pauses that Ford mentioned. I love the Sony's (miss the old one's though that you could change the guide) interface.

The A55 appears to have a bit quicker response than the 50's when moving through the menu's - plus I haven't seen the guide reloading problems yet in it.

Wish it had the caller id feature though, that was pretty cool (I won't degrade my signals with a add on caller id box).
