For those who occasionally visit the dbsdish.com website (regular visitors already know):

John Hobson has lost control of this facility to his sponsor, and he and his group of volunteers that helped run the place are no longer involved. As of this morning, the forums are down, with no indication of when they will return.

I have always felt that these two sites were complementary, one predominantly for remotes with relaxed support for minidish satellite tv, the other predominantly for minidish with relaxed support for remotes. It was a recommendation on dbsdish.com that sent me here in the first place.

This change steps up the value of THIS forum a notch or two.

You can find many of the frequent contributors to the old DBSDish forums at [Link: echostaruser.org] where they are temporarily holding discussions until John has the forums up on the new site.

The new site, which is at www.dbsforums.com , has some of the information up already, with the forums to be opened soon.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've been lost without my daily dose of dbsdish! And I refuse to get mired down in the usenet satellite drivel.
