Had a customer ask about running sat connections through a window, like they do for cell antennas on car windows. Thought I saw one a while back, might have been for regular antenna, looked in Smarthome, didn't see one. Said I didn't think they could because of power requirements for LNB. Thought maybe someone else saw similar one....
Thanks

Most people just use a flat cable...when possible.

I give up. How does the power required for the LNB get thru the glass with the glass link? Inductive transmission maybe?

Just curious.

Thanks GL !
Thought I was loosing it, looked again, not there. Called SmartHome, they said not all products are in catalogue, but are on web. Guess I better start checking there first from now on.
My theory for power transfer would be change power to AC, inductively couple it through window (notice rather large size of device), then turn AC back to DC and send it up to LNB.
Flat cable has some interesting uses, thanks again.
