I have been considering getting the package. Any impressions, experiences and recommendations from latino friends out there?
What soccer games you get?
Brazilian "novelas"? (Big plus, will help getting wife into this)
Any programming from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic?
Winter baseball?
Basketball?
What about PanAm games?

Thanks
Ulises

I have the old Spanish package, consisting of HTV, Telemundo, and Fox Sports Americas (for $4.99 / month, but this package is no longer available). My brother-in-law has the full Dish Latino, though, it has about 15 stations and 5 music channels (not including HTV or MTV Latino (thoguh I think MTV Latino is a worthless channel, it has very little music in Spanish).

With regards to the sports, Fox Sports Americas is about 80% to 90% soccer plus the other channels carry games every once in awhile. The games are from Central / South America, and Europe. Other stations may have the baseball and basketball, I am not sure though since I don't get those stations.

Telemundo definately has novelas and my wife watches one to two of them each and every day. I remember one of them being Brazilian (it was dubbed from Portugese into Spanish).

With regards to where the networks are from, I do not remember any from the Caribbean, though there are some from all over Central and South America as well as Spain.

My advice would be to try it, I am sure you will find programming that you like. If you don't like it, you can always cancel the package and pay just a $5 downgrade fee, you are not locked into keeping the package.
