I have a system with 9 direcTV D10's and 1 HR10-250. So I am using 11 sat feeds. For multi-switches I am using 2 USTec 8 way's with their splitter kit. I have been using USTec for years now and I have never seen this issue before.
When the system was installed everything was working fine. All three sats and all the transponders were coming in fine. Customer called me about 3 weeks later to let me know she can't get her latin channels. So these are on 119, odd. Well sure enough I am getting no signal for 119, odd on SOME of the multiswitch outputs. I replace the multiswitches and we are good for ONE day. So I go back out with 2 new multiswiches (again).
This time I check direct from the LNBs to the receivers - good Direct from LNB to one multiswich - all ports good other multiswitch - all ports good. Checked voltages out of of multiswitch - 13 & 18, good checked grounding - all good
2 weeks later (yesterday) I get an email. No more latin channels.
GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I ordered a Spaun 5x12 and I am going to put it in this week. But am I the only person? I have gone through 8 multiswitches, of course they could be bad... but 8 of them? Could the receivers be blowing out the multiswitches? Maybe it is something in the receiver that is burning out one particular component in them or maybe this one component is just dying for no reason or some reason for that matter.
ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS? (other then change providers, or convince them to watch regular MTV not Latin MTV?) :P
Thank you!

With Channel Plus or Vision, I don't remember, we went through a bunch of bad multi-switches. Went Spaun and we have had maybe one bad one.
