Would the noise from a blown power transformer cause the LNB to go bad?
Thanks...Kim

In the sense that anything is possible, of course. There are different degrees of "blown power transformers" also. Why did it go, and in what way? We'd also need to know how your cabling is run and grounded.

This requires a local investigation.

The cable guys were pulling new wire and this caused the power lines to touch. There was a series of 4-5 explosions at the transformer and power was knocked out locally to 5-6 houses. One powerline was fried and had to be replaced. I have no idea how the cabling is run or grounded but have placed a service call. Thanks for your reply!
