This weekend I bought a wireless remote control extender to be able to change channels on my videotron box from my bedroom. The box is located about 20 feet away, and no matter where I tried placing the receiver it just wasn't doing anything. The odd thing is that I noticed the receiver was in fact receiving the signal but it just wasn't transmitting it back to the cable box. Nxxtech long range rf remote control extender. Granted it's probably the cheapest model ever created, but I figured with such a short distance and thin walls it should have done the job. Now before I go out and buy something else, is it possible that in my particular setup a wireless extender will simply not work?
And second, is there any inexpensive way to extend the range using a wired solution? Something that wouldn't require any assembly? Thanks
