When Hughes announced their 5th generation satellite receivers (e models), they stated that they would be available in silver, gold and platinum versions. The only Hughes platinum receiver I can find is the HIRD-D45 which is a 4th generation receiver. Does anyone know if the 5th generation platinum receiver is available or if it is expected to be available soon?

Thanks,
Kevin

Well, the Hughes support people told me about 3 weeks ago that the E45 was just becoming available in limited quantities. So, it looks as though it's one of these "good luck finding it for a while" things like the Sony A50 units.

I gave up and went with the E25 and passed on Dolby Digital.

I recently stumbled across this website and found the prices to be pretty good. They also have a pretty good selection. I believe they carry the E45 you're looking for.

Tom's a nice guy, and he was the cheapest I could find. How's $149.00 shipping included sound?!
