Anyone know when a HD TiVo will be available? I have a 14 hour now and I'm wanting to upgrade but don't know if I should wait for a HD model.
Thanks...

It might be quite a wait. There are no announced plans as of yet for HDTV TiVo. New models are a 30 hour unit made by Sony for $399 and a Directv/TiVo combo unit that will record and playback Dolby Digital but will not record non-Directv (antenna, cable, etc) signals.

Eddie,

According to the post from a Tivo representative on the AVS Forum, a HDTV Tivo unit is not coming this year, and is unlikely for next year.

There is hope for a similar product, as Dish Network has indicated they have such a product in development at their lab, although they also admit that it will not be feasible until the costs of high-capacity drives (i.e. 80+Gb) drop to a small fraction of their current price. That could be 12 months, or it could be 18-24 months.
