Hi everyone. I've got a Epson 51c and the Rca dtc100 HD setup. I'm getting terrible motion artifacts on it. It happens with OTA or Direct TV. My dct100 has the lastest updates. Any ideas? Thanks, Richard

Is this the issue we discussed before about the transcoder? Are you using one or did you just hook the DTC-100 up to the receiver and the receiver to the PJ? I am going to guess that is what you did instead of using the transcoder. :)

EDIT

I just read the specs and there is not a component input so you must have RGB to RGB correct? I assume you are S video for everything non-HD?

ECHOSLOB, Hi man. I just ran the dct100 straight to the Epson. The 51c is a 800x600 projector but on the menu it's set at 1280x1084.I have looked and read all the manuals, and cant find out how to change it. I think that's my problem. I've hit the reset, which is supposed to have set it back to all factory defaults. When I go back into the menu, it's still showing 1280x1084. Any ideas???Thanks again, Richard

I am afraid I wouldn't have a clue about that. I would give Epson a call I am sure they could help you. This is just a guess but maybe the PJ has some kind of auto input detection thingie. It senses 1080i from the DTC-100 and locks? This is just a guess but I would call Epson.

Thanks again. I contacted Epson, they have heard of the problem, but have no fix. They did say it was in the Projector. Oh well, might have to get another. Thanks for your input.

There's no chance that these motion artifacts could be a result of the DTC100 doing faulty MPEG decompression, is there? Also, have you reoriented the antenna?

Could be the projector's compression. If it's native SVGA, it's compressing the incoming signal. Could this be the problem?
