i have installed two sony sat systems over the past few weeks and all three receivers had the same problem the caller id would not work, checked all connections, checked phone line, ran new phone line straight from network interface box outside, but nothing could get these things to consistanly display the caller id , maybe one out of every ten calls, sent one back to sony and they returned it with a note that said the unit is working fine and to check the dish ground???? could some one please help explain to me how the dish ground could effect the caller id, and they said dish ground not receiver ground

anyways thanks in advance

I have both an A65 and a B65. Caller ID didn't work until I ran a ground wire from the dish to my house's electrical ground point. In my house, it is the water pipe where it enters the crawlspace. I also grounded the RG-6 cabling from the dish with a grounding block to the same common ground. Works like a charm.
