Weren't you looking at a regular Sony model that used rca audio/video connections and just plug in component cables instead? Why did you abandon this approach?

This model looks like the copperbox one at [Link: copperbox.com] which looks basically the same but is $50 more expensive.

Got cold feet on the Sony considering the bandwidth.. This is a simpler it seems solution than the copperbox...

I got the copperbox one. Works like a charm, Autoswitching and Manual. No problems at all. Love it!

The copperbox one looks good, but it's a bit pricy at $300 just for a switcher, and there's only two inputs.

Yeah, I too think so.. Still have not bought a switcher.. Trying to decide to either do that or just get a new receiver.. Found a few nice receivers around $600 or so that have the ability to switch... so for not much more get a new receiver and switch..
