I have several Sony A55 dss receivers as part of my home theater operation that I would like to control with a universal remote. This probably means that I must use the ir option rather than the rf option. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Actually via RF would IMHO be easiest... Get a ProntoPro and then one of the RFX6000 IR/RF extenders for however many DSS receivers you have. In the configuration for your Pronto Pro have each DSS matched to a different RFX6000! Viola!

the xantech gatekeeper can route same ir commands to each system seperately as labeled as "unit one" and "unit two" etc. That way you can keep your universal remote as long ay it learns commands and can do macros. if not even buying a tsu2000 and the system should be cheaper than the tsu6000 and two rf extenders and you will still have to do the same IR masking. I also have a question along these same lines. Eventually, I would like to have a setup that would include up to 8 receivers with 7-8 small TVs and one big screen. I understand the use of multi-switches and diplexers. I also like the idea of the gatekeeper or other IR distribution device. What I need help on is a audio/video distribution device. What I need is a device that would have up to 10 inputs. The main goal is to have the 8 small "pip" TVs with different sporting events on. Then, by using the distribution device, I could choose which feed I wanted to watch on the big screen and the sound would also be automatically switched through my stereo receiver. I hope that this was fairly clear. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
