I go this old tv/vcr combo a few years ago. its pretty old... 1995 on the back. I never got a remote with it so i don't even know what the original looked like. I have tried a few different universal remotes. I can get them to channel up and down, and power on/off. i finally got one to access the menu. but once into the menu i cant navigate the options. what i am wanting to do is program the channels. anyone have any ideas? is this thing just too old?

Yes it is too old, with analog stream turned off, it won't tune in the digital channels.

we have analog cable still in my area. so i can watch stuff just not in digital quality. most of the channels are programmed and i can manually enter the ones that are not. i just want to run the auto program to removed the channels that are not there and add the ones that are there.
