Hi,

I'm looking for a universal remote to replace 5 remotes.

Will a universal remote that has programming only put all the buttons on the universal remote. In other words, for my Samsung TV's remote, if I program with the code will I have access to the 'menu' button on the universal remote? Or do must I look for a remote with learning capability for this functionality?

Also, if I use a learning remote, do I need to "teach" all the numbers including digits, etc. ?

Edit: Also, is there any difference between buttons being programmed by code and taught (learned?) when it comes to delay/lag?
