Hello Everyone,

I recently bought a western digital HD media streaming device (Model: WDTV Live Plus) and the remote that comes with it is junk to say the least so I was wondering if I might be able to use my Comcast remote to control the wdtv box and if so, where can I find the code(s) I need to do so.

My Comcast remote is the one that comes with the RNG-110 HD cable box which is silver and has the red ok/select button in the center of the remote if that helps at all.

The Comcast remote can't control the WD box. WD Live uses NEC1 132.121 I R protocol, and the Comcast remote can't be modified to send that protocol.

Thanks for the reply and sense that remote will not work then does anyone know if the RCA (Model: OARC05G) remote will work or not ?

It's a learning remote so I do not see why it wouldn't but just want to make sure before I buy it.
