Hi folks, I am trying to pair up the TV remote with my cable box.
The TV is a Toshiba 42 HL57 that utilizes a CT-90262 remote.

I try the process per the manual, holding down the recall button and entering the codes, and with the slider in the Cable/Satellite position.

My cable box is a Motorola DCT 1700/AFL.

I have tried the suggestions from the Motorola site, 0476 and 0276 without success.

I have tried all the codes within the CT-90262 manual, 062/069/071/082/086/089/091/090/096, again without success.

I have also tried several other codes such as 001/112/049/051.

Maybe it just isn't meant to be, also per the manual!!

Any help would be appreciated if anyone has any ideas, I am totally open for suggestions. I have searched the forum for CT-90262 and came up empty.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Thank you for your suggestion, I tried them and they didn't work.

AFTER reading the instructions again, I noticed something peculiar, it stated to test the code "TURN THE DEVICE ON" and try and power it down, if it shuts off the right code was entered.

No where does it say the device should be off to program the remote to work with the cable box before that.

My second question is, does it matter that I have been trying these codes with the device on?

I have used other codes for other remotes and devices while the device is on and they worked great. Not sure about this one....I guess when my wife isn't watching TV, I can give it a try!!!
